my last bike had a freestyle cage, and i fell I broke the cage, stator cover, and both left footpegs. did almost the same thing on my new bike with a 905 cage on, and didnt do anything. even my handlebar ends were still clean!!!

Re: **does cages save pegs rear brake and clipons too?**

i run freestyle, i've wadded my bike up bad and in 1 year i've only broken the right foot peg. Clipons, levers, everything are fine. I've even flipped it end over end so i had to replace the forks and the front wheel and triple, and still no broken clip ons. the only reason that right foot peg broke was because i didn't have the right side slider of my cage on and i looped a highchair.

I have a 905 on my F3 and I crash alot. The tips of my footpegs got bent a half inch, but are still quite usable. The rearset bracket, and the shift and brake levers are protected.

guess what. who cares?

the cages are designed to prevent damage to the single component that keeps your bike moving forward, your motor. the 905 and powersworx cages are great at doing just that. i might be moving to a powersworx cage from a 905 cage just because i like hammering turns just as much as i like scraping ***. i'll take some broken pegs and clip ons any day over a smashed open motor.

A fall and a crash r two different things, a cage isn't a save all. so in a high speed crash or if the bike flips somethings gonna give. But they are worth the money when u do crash when u can ride ur bike home.

i run an F.I. cage and dumped plenty of times. Pancake 12's fliped or whatever the crash it held up and nothing on my motor broke. The right clip on bent a my front fairing have got ****ed up by thats not what the cage is for. All that matters is that im not stranded and can ride home
