750 twitchy at 12

whats up ladies and gents ? i just picked up a new stunt bike, 02 gix 750. seems to be really twitchy at 12. the TPS was off a little and we adjusted it up, but it really didnt help out much. just wondering if anyone else in here had this problem with their gix. seems the throttle is either off or fast. hard to keep it smooth and pull the tricks. i didnt have this problem with my 1000 or my other 750 so im stumped?

i have a 02 gixx 750 and have killed it. took a lil getting used to. but after a lil bit after i first had it everything was smooth unless its my fault for being shitty on throttle control.

Mine's twitchy too... I'm positive its the TPS. I have a new one now... I'll let you know how it acts after I replace it and get a custom map installed on my power commander.

Re: 750 twitchy at 12

We all rode Tommy's bike. I know what you guys are thinking when he says twitchy, bt it's not what you are thinking! We have 1000's ludacris geared and all, his bike is just wierd. Basically while rollin it slow, if you go to give a tiny amount of throttle, it goes from 0% throttle, pauses for a second, then jumps to like 60%+ throttle. It is a VERY hard bike to be smooth on!!! We tried the TPS, that helped a little, but something is still wrong. I'm thinkin that we should replace the ENTIRE throttle body and injection, wiring harness and CDI. Hopefully that will cure it. If that doesn't work i think im gonna take it out back and beat the **** out of it. Maybe it's just too new... LOL... ok, now what does everybody think???

sounds like a electrical, fuel injection problem.

Re: 750 twitchy at 12

that sounds strange.. are you sure that little tiny hose that goes from the pair valve to the tbodies didnt come loose? I have had that happen before and the bike ran like crap.
