What if you replace the 12 bar with a wheel?

So I don't contrubute here much, mostly just a lurker, but I had an idea last night I wanna share. What if instead of the 12o'clock bar you mounted up a single tire, like off a fidy? So you could wheelie back and instead of setting it on the bar you'd be on another tire. Now you can lean and turn. I've seen people try things like roller blade wheels mounted to both sides of the scrape bar, but instead I wanna see someone try a single pneumatic tire. I can't 12 yet or I'd fab one up and give it a shot.

What do you think?

Tim

To make this work U would have to put two wheels on it other wise as soon as that single tire hits the ground it going to be very unstable.

In my experience the bar isnt exactly very stable.. I mean it can be but when the bike is straight vertical it doesnt take much to make it wobble, I think a tire with no side to side help would just make it worse.

honestly, as long as people have been doing slow stuff do you think if it worked someone would be doing it?

I was also wondering what the point of the tire is anyway? If it aint broke don't fix it, right?

My dad said this a couple weeks ago (about the wheel). "Why don't you guys just put a wheel back there? Remember you had one on your freestyle bike when you were a kid"...Damn, he's right, remember those?

i don't know, guess i'm just getting fed up with people asking the same thing over and over again without doing a search.....and there are tons of people that ask this question (a lot in person to me) and it's kinda like....umm..if you think about it, this has been going on for a while, so if it was a good idea someone would be doing it by now. it's like a newbie thinks of this and thinks nobody has ever thought of doing it and thought about it working.

Peep my old stunt bike. It worked well for a quick touch-n-go scrape, but I could never park it cuz it would just keep going. Things usually got ugly.
