Re: 900rr carbs ??????

you have your airbox off, each carb has it's own clamp under it that holds it on, loosen all 4 of those off and then grab the carbs from the top and kinda wiggle them to the front of the bike and to the back of the bike pulling upwards. they should come loose. make sure the bike is warm. i tried doing it in the winter and it was no go. if it's still hard, get a hair drier under the carbs on those rubber boots to soften them up.

What year is it? There is nothing holding them on, they've just never been off probably. Just pull a little harder and rock them back and forth, the seal will eventually break loose. Make sure you take your throttle cables and choke cable off too, and the wiring on the side.

no no no, no bolts inside any carbs. just loosen the hose clamps on the gromets under the carbs, then rock them back and forth. did you read my post about the hair drier? you shouldn't have to take anything apart, just 4 hoseclamps, that's it. do'nt make it more complicated than it is.

yes they will, but you might have to tune them because the 99 has a different stroke motor (it's 919cc verses 883cc). Also, both bikes have that wiring, they have to, because it's the main wiring harness that runs from the back of the bike up to the front of the bike.

the 919 does NOT have a different stroke, only bore--your carbs will work.
