Re: cut down cans

I think he means "run like ****".......

it might, your bike needs the backpressure...but I've seen many people do it with no problems.....

Re: cut down cans

it doesn't do any thing. the backpressure is mainly created in the header, hence the reason adding a slip-on doesn't require jetting/re=mapping a bike.

Thew broke off his can, and i saw digidy do a whole show with no slip-on on his bike.....and mine has run with no slip on either. doesn't do anything but make it loud and stupid annoying.

also, if you cut down your can, don't get retarded and cut it down like 3" long. trust me, you aren't going to scrape that **** and if you run a passenger they get all the exhaust on them. just cut like 2" off of it and you should be good iwth like 90% of cans. i only cut an inch off mine and it works fine, doesn't even come close.

Re: cut down cans

well, i wouldn't go as far to say i know what i'm talking about. haha

but i did race 2 seasons and delt with jetting carbs and exhaust flow and from my experiences with my own bike i know those things. I just let what i find be known.

thanks for the complement though
