Pm Lou Brakant.....he makes some nice subframe braces...since I have had them I haven't broken a subframe.

 

yo **** paying for **** make it yourself. take a piece of 1/8 in. metal cut 4 long pieces about an half in .wide and run them from rear peg bolts to the front peg bolts ,thats what i did and i have never had a problem since and it only cost me 4 dollars for the metal.

I HAD SOMETHING LIKE THIS ALREADY BUT I WENT THROUGH THE SWINGARM HOLE ON THE FRAME WITH THE METAL STRAP.
IT WAS UGLY *** HELL .
I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR SOME DIFFERENT IDEAS. AND SOME PICTURES PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE.

yea everyone i kno has welded braces from the subframe to the frame, so basically ur subframe is welded straight to the frame with aluminum brace in between, kinda hard to explain! helps alot tho

 

Mine broke so i welded it. It does'nt feel like im standing on a wet noodle anymore. Also put a peice of pipe between the rear footpeg mounts it helps alot too.

 

I got tired of bending and breaking mine so I sold my bike. Anyone know somebody with a 954 or 929 for sale

1 MORE QUESTION.....
HOW DID YOU MOUNT THE PIPE INBETWEEN THE PEGS ?

I'M GUESSING BUT ...IT LOOKS LIKE YOU WOULD USE A PEICE OF THREADED ROD WITH A NUT ON EACH END THEN A LARGER SIZE HOLLOW PIPE AROUND THE THREADED ROD ?

DONT MEAN TO BE A PAIN IN THE *** BUT I THINK THIS MIGHT HELP EVERYBODY THAT HAS THE SAME DAM PROBLEM WITH OUR GSXRS .

COULD YOU POST SOME PICTURES OF THE PIPE FROM UNDERNEATH ....AND A LITTLE HOW TO ON IT ALSO.

i was watching a movie not too long ago and the dude went twelve and his subframe just broke

 

Heres a tip for GSXR subframes.........DON'T SLAM THEM........USE THE BRAKE.
MAKE SURE YOUR SUBFRAME BOLTS ARE ALWAYS TIGHT
IVE BROKE 2

I haven't broken mine yet. I have hit it pretty damn hard twice with rev limiter coasters gone bad. Didn't wreck or break or bend the subframe either time. I wanna say you guys are hitting em too hard too often. And GSE Mike is right, they'll bust every time if your subframe screws are loose. Locktite them hoes and check em regularly.

I've gone through about 4 of them on my last bike. I don't even half to hit it hard and mine break/bend. All this stuff will make everyone better in the long run because they won't have all of the down time.

Anyone got any steel ones for sale at a reasonable price that I can still ride a passenger on???

I've seen guy's reinforce them only to start breaking the main frame tabs

 

Only reason you havent is because he was in KC this weekend last I seen him he was lookin for his "misplaced" bike to head back home

 

hah you should see Bryans 929 its been welded so many times. Johns is also cracked.
The best tip on how not to break them has alreadt been said, NO GORILLA SCRAPES The pipe I put in mine, Idoubt does anything now that its welded but it does help stock subframes. I took out the front bolts to the foot peg and ran a piece of allthread though them also going though a piece of an old jack handle I cut to size.
