Re: who 12's a 929 with the exhaust valve still on
i twelved my 954 with it in, and i clutched it up, right to balance then it almost seemed like it was gonna stall, so i gave a lil gas and it snaped back rteal fast and i crashed, joe brown told me its touchy cause of the valve too. he said take it out asap. anyone know how?

i rock STOCK. i put full exhaust on my other 929 that i sold and it didn't help the idle weirdness on it, so i left the valve in on this one. the idle has to do with teh vaccuum assisted idle control. to get around that, you have to use a 900rr idle cable and screw it into the place where the throttle stop setscrew goes. then use that to turn up your idle. here's a pic:

I rock a bone stock 929. Stock exhaust, stock everything. THing runs gorgous. on the bar, off the bar, no handers, NTH's. They do run weird if you turn the idle over 3,000 rpm's. thats why i rock a giant pizza pan. 2,000 rpm idle tricks.
929 is the bike of the century!!
What are you running for gears?

ya, i'm 1 down 10 up and i can only rock 2000 rpm cause the idle gets all crappy. it's a little difficult so i've thought about going 20 up but i'm scared about losing my sweet spot i've been using for my coasters.
