How do pros make money in the stunt world?
Re: How do pros make money in the stunt world?
Making money is not hard but, you need to have some thing the people wont. Rick had water he made money. I will help you out. If you are going to make money you need a few things.
1. A good name (something people will remember).
2. A website for your fans to go to and talk on.
3. You need **** to sale because people wont to be apart of you.
4. You need a Good vid so your fans can see how good you are and show you to there friends.
5. You will need to travel to stunt show and market your self.
6. You have to have an image because people like that **** but, you can not be a dick or think you are better than anyone (Not Cool).
If you do all of this ****, you will make money but you will not be living like a rock star, but you will be doing some thing you love a making a living doing it. That is cool.
P.S. Keep your team small more money for you!!
P.S.S The top stunt teams will sale about 10,000 – 15,000 vid a year. So if you made $5.00 profit off each vid then you made $75,000.00. If you are only making $5.00 off each vid then you are getting fukced. The top guy should make about $100,000 to $200,000 a year, but the top guy have 3 and 4 or maybe 5 vid and a **** load of **** to sell.
Good Luck

Re: How do pros make money in the stunt world?
I think if you take stunting off the streets where it's giving stunters at bad image in the public eye, it might encourage the sport to grow and major networks might start picking it up like ESPN. Right now it's more like a taboo underground thing that the general public hates.
Re: How do pros make money in the stunt world?
I just happened upon this thread and I like the answers...........lets keep this one going:
It seems our team is not breaking even, because at every show we break more bikes and the show money is not enough to cover.
Merchandise is where its at, but you have to be "established" to sell big volumes. But I think we all fall into the "giving it away" too much as Gorka stated because we don't want to seem unfriendly/uncool.
I think it should be more for fun rather than money, and just enjoy the friends along the way!!! None of us are going to get rich.
Hell, I'm poor because all of my money after I pay my bills goes to parts for my broken bike.
Peace Out.

I think that stunting is like acting.....
Actors have lots of money for short amounts of time, like after they do a popular film...........then they are broke or not as rich.
Pro Stunters have money at different times of their careers, but that money can "dry up" and then their left with being broke *** stunters again....even though they are one of the best in the business.
My two cents...........

Re: How do pros make money in the stunt world?
Pure and simple it may not be easy but the fact is there are stunters making good money which only proves one thing, it is possible. It might not be possible for everyone just like anything but just because not many are doing it doesn't mean stop trying. Do what you love, give it 110% and the money will follow.
