Will the gixxer work?

Alright, sold my 900 and thinkin about getting a gsxr750, just for something different. Its a 97 and they are asking around 5 grand for it. Its in good condition with 7500 miles, never stunted. I need some help. Is it worth 5000 and would I be able to wheelie highway with such an old carburated bike? Help me out guys.

Thanks
TonyC

Re: Will the gixxer work?

seems kind of high on the price a dealership close to where i live has a 98 for 5200 and dealerships are always high on prices so a private person should be selling that 97 for like 4000 look on ebay i have seen newer ones on there for 5000

5g's is way too high for an srad. You can "highway wheelie it" if YOU are capable of it. You can find one cheaper I'm sure, I think bikerboy has one for sale in the for sale section

My roomate just got a 97 750 for 4500 and its MINT with frame sliders and an Akrop slip on. Arent the 97's fuel injected too?? I think they are. Great bike! I took it out the other day and she wheelies real good! I like my 96 900RR better though!
