Re: gearing Question

apreciate the assistance. didnt want to go with aluminum cause it aint as strong as steel. as for the discount ,i work in the back wrenchin so they dont give me too much access to parts but let me know what u need and ill see what i can do. :YEAH

Re: gearing Question

aluminum works just fine, they may not last as long, but so what...you'll easily get a season out of it...as for strength: do you think racers are using stell sprockets? nope, aluminum, so strength is not really a factor...

who are the parts' guys at your dealership? sounds like you need some new ones!!! lol jk

sprocket specialists has EVERYTHING you need, they will custom make sprockets too.

Re: gearing Question

hey i have a gearing question. I'd post my own thread but my account doesn't have the privledged to do so i guess... anyway im riding a stock 97 ZX 600R (not a ZX6R). and im having trouble getting it to wheelie. maybe i just need to grow a sack but im telling ya its not being very cooperative. i was thinking about dropping the front down one from stock and upping the back by 8 teeth. my only concern is that i still want my bike to be able to do like at the very least 110 mph. do you think that it will take that much off my top end if i gear it to -1, +8 ?

Re: gearing Question

is it worth just going up 2 teeth in the rear, can you tell the difference from the stock?
