I have had a couple friends that hv ehad the same problem. Try using JB quik and put it in the crack in between the gas cap and gas tank, it should fix the problem, and if not will definitely help out.

Re: leaking caps

it's not warm enough to try it here yet(soon i hope) but i'm going to try and put washers between the tank and cap pedistals. that would pull the cap tighter against the tank and make it seal better. some one try this if they get a chance, i don't see why it wouldn't work.

Re: leaking caps

use silicone sealant. that stuff is rubbery and can be molded anywhere, can be found in many colors, and will stop the leak and last for a LONG time.

Umm wrong! Gasoline desolves rtv sealant so if you do this you'll have a bunch of **** swimming around in your tank. Take the cap off stuff a rag in the tank and top it off with duct tape

just buy a damn vortex cap it should fix it, mine was dented with one on it. When I bought the tank it did'nt come with a cap so i used the stock one and no leaks.
