Question on balance point science
Question on balance point science
i'm wondering what would make the higher/lower balance point of a bike. the more the front end of a bike weights the higher the balance point and the more the tail end weights the lower the balance point? is this correct? i was just thinking about a katana and wondering if you were to add weight to the rear if it would make it easier to balance instead of having to be at near 12.
Re: Question on balance point science
That's right about the weight placement, the more in front the higher (That's why our F3's stand straight up)
But come on Tenny, why would you weight the tail down to lower the BP....just rock it vertical man :YEAH :YEAH

Re: Question on balance point science
this was more for a friend of mine with a katana that it is literraly 12ing before you start to feel like your even getting close to bp. on my f3 i'm not 12 when i'm at hte balance point but easisly 10:30. :P
Re: Question on balance point science
its not just hte weight on the front of the bike, its more the overall balance of the bike itself. motor position, etc. a 929 or 954 weighs a lot less in the front than a 900 does, but the 900 balances way lower and has a larger balance point than the 929/954.
