Question about Brake set-up

I have a 96 900RR with a stock brake set-up (which sucks) i am doing slow wheelies,12's,apehangers etc. but the brake is just not touchy enough. For example i apply pressure to the brake and i can come to a stop while in the air where i want to be able to hit the brake and the bike set down. I have bled the lines and put new pads on it but neither has helped. I was told that the braided brake lines are a little better so i am gonna try that but meanwhile do any of you have any suggestions on what i need to do?

ps. I am trying to get circles but it is very difficult without good brake control

Re: Question about Brake set-up

To me it would seem to be easier with less touchy brakes. Mine are really grippy and it's hard to be smooth. Sounds like we are at the extreme ends of the situation, somewhere inbetween would be best. I have noticed on the 900's I've ridden the rear brake isn't ever that strong so it might just be the way they are.

Re: Question about Brake set-up

Use HH pads, also i just bought an 900 ex stunt bike for my g/f. Before I bought it my frind put an R1 master cylinder on it and said it helpped a bunch.
