I just read an article in performance bike about how all the major manufacturers are going to stop making race replicas, like the GSX-R, ZX-10, R1, and 1000RR. They are doing this because of lack of profit and government regulation.
They are going to fucus on naked bikes, which could make good stunt bikes.
We need to start a save the sportbike foundation.
People quoted in the article.
Geoff Selvidge Kawasaki's vice president of corporate marketing
Shunji Tanaka Kawasaki Japan head designer (creator of the zx-10 and zx-636)
Nick Barnes Suzuki GB general manager, motorcycle division
Pierre Terblanche Ducati design chief
Bruno Tagliaferri Triump UK sales and marketing manager
Andy Smith Yamaha UK sales and marketing director

I'm down to stunt any new bike. seems like a lot of the new bikes run a lot better. 600's make the power of old bigger bores. need less gearing to do same stuff. I've been on this 02 750 for 14000 miles of pure hell. I bought it totalled for 2900 w/ a bent frame. still got the bent frame (it has a tiny crack now by the neck) but all in all the thing holds up great. yea I don't crash very often, but if you get good on an old tough bike then you can jump on a newer weaker bike and just skip the whole crashing thing
