need an opinion...(gearing)

Im gearing my gixxer 600 1 down in the front, is this gonna make a difference? What did you notice the difference was?

i got a 750... i went 1 down 2up.. works pretty good. i'm gonna try 1down 8up soon.

You'll notice an improvement on how it comes up but not a tremendous amount. Good start though, then you can add a 3up in back and it gets better. Then when you want to start going really slow add 10 more or so out back.

well, first thing i always do with a bike is go 1 down in the front.

it gives a little better throttle response but if you want to start doing slow stuff you need a big sprocket.

1 down 10 up on my 929.

My buddy went one down on his 02 Gixxer6 and liked it. Said it pulls harder and wheelies 2nd/3rd pretty easy. I'm -1 +3 on my F4 and love it, 2nd tank wheelies are easy, but 3rd is still too tall.

I'm 2 down and 3 up on my 750. Although, do I need more gearing if I want to go really slow. My bike still wants to stall out, on the occasion I do it right.
