Hand Brakes......who's got 'em?????

Just curious to who here is rockin' a rear hand brake.

I have been thinkin' about rigging one up but don't know quite how to go about it. I've seen some people set it up with an extra clutch cable rigged to their rear foot pedal but they all say that it isn't very good. I know there has to be a way to hook up a hydraulic one but not sure exactly how. I have my ideas on how to make it work but if someone already has one set up fill me in on the how-to.

hand break

im not sure about this but if ou rid another front break lever and stack the banjo fitting on the rear break master cylender "using brass crush washers in between it might work the problem is finding a long enuff break line to go from your bars down to the master or even the caliper kind of a 2nd break and still keep your foot break usable i dunno if it would work just kind of a thought i had i dont have much experience with street bikes im a dirtbiker but i have my eyes on a cbr900 in the real near future and want to get into stunting im just crazy enuff on the dirt if i get on the road i might do some really stupid stuff

Best way

You dont want to "half ***" it on this one. front brakes work well because there are 2 giant rotors up there but you just dont have good leverage to run an extra cable to the existing rear brake.

The best way to do it is run an extra caliper with a long steel line up to an extra FRONT brake caliper on the left hand side

I was thinkin about eventually riggin something up... like what mellon has... another caliper and master cylinder, buying another clutch cable and rerouting, or my favorite...

Taking an old kawasaki jetski thumb throttle setup and transferring it to the bike... that was my secret idea thats no longer secret

someone makes a hydrolic clutch setup for fourwheelers that bolts right on. you might be able to work with that if the cable is long enough. or just figure out how the mpz guys did theirs. looks pimp.
