pull start on a 3wheeler

i know this is not a stunting question but the most people seem to be in this forum, you know how a three wheeler has the combustion release, so it makes it easer to pull? does that need to work to get it to start?

what position does the lever need to be in though?
all the way down and to the front or back or does it need to be in the middle(pointed up?)

the compression release is just to make it easier to pull over...my friends 230 quadsport used to have it for his kickstart....you should be able to start it with or without it.

Take it apart and use brake parts cleaner! Just soak the *****... Let it dry and wipe it out good before using it though.... Use a toothpick in the creases or a small wire brush/test tube cleaner/ pipe cleaner... While it's out, check to make sure the floats are working and not sticking up or down... move them freely...
