A.C's eternally spinning front tire..

I watched a video, and his front tire DOES NOT STOP spinning ?!?!

I've heard he has some rig for this, but I'm wondering what exactley he has rigged and what it does ? anyone have anymore info on this ??

i'm not planning on setting something like this up, I'm just curious what it's all about, and I wonder how much it actually helps..

they spread them and before they can use the front brakes again they need to pump the front brakes... once you do that.. you need to manually spread them again

OOOH ok, so they manually spread them, and don't use front brake..

but does it help at all ?

Tony D. said on his website that he has ceramic bearnings. I asked him if he had some type of motor and he said no.

well, if you release the pressure from the pads, then it should theoretically spin for quite a while (even with normal bearings)..

They have stock bearings and spread the pads as Nags said. It gives the gyro effect and makes it easier to manuver slow wheelies. Try it it works. Just remember to pump the brakes before taking off- a friend of mine didn't and hit a wall, he was going to do a stoppie and the brakes failed and he crashed before they could pump up. He stopped riding because he fractured a bone in his lower back-OUCH

I have heard of some of the Euros actually installing a motor on the front wheel to keep it spinning as well.
Cheers

well, if your rotors are true, your calipers are fresh and dont drag, and you remove the dustcaps off the bearings, it'll spin for quite a while
