I see your point to some degree, I won't get into what kind of money we've (1096) put into the sport. I will tell you this to maybe keep your hopes alive: We've made a lot more than we've put in. I've been to Curacao, Jamaica, Aruba, Barbados. Some people pay to go there, we got paid to go there. To ride. You won't hear me bitching about anything. It can be done, it is being done. No business is expected to profit it's first few years. Your business is riding. If your business isn't profiting, try a different marketing strategy, an new product or service. Make something new and improved. You need to start looking at it like a business. Only then will you profit.
thats what Im talkin about. I want people to pay me to go places and perform. Its just hard to get people to actually listen to you since the sport still has a bad name due to it being illegal. Oh well I guess I just need to keep my head up and hope for the best.

i spend a lot, just this summer...trashed 2, yes count them 2 new 929's along with buying a new enclosed trailer, new suburban to pull it, everywhere i travel i spend about 200-300 in gas....and i've been to about 10 shows this year and still have some in florida to go to. Also hospital bills and money the army took out of my *** for being out of work when i got hurt.

it's all worth it, no biggy, it's my sport and i don't care. i look at it like thew and gorka, you gotta put your time in before you can get back. If more people got together to make the sport bigger so payouts were more, then it'd go faster, but as it is, it's taking forever because of the support. If you aren't helping then you can't really bitch about it taking forever. i'm dropping whatever cash i can to help with it, and that's how i look at it, one step closer to me possibly getting something back.

I have over 100,000$ into flight fees so far at aviation school to be a pilot. I'm halfway done, ya, it sucks, but you know what, once i'm out of school then i'll be making money and it'll be worth it. that's how everything works, put money in to get money back.

to Gorka and Thew

you are either a lifer or you aint

Lifers are doing it now, no questions asked, filling whatever position they can whether it be local or national...not knowing what the future may bring, but being happy either way

Non lifers are just waiting in the wings complaining and not contributing **** except being another member on stuntlife

I for one am a lifer

I quit a business for this ****.....so Ive probably lost 80k in the past two years

but I have met a lot of people I consider friends and have visited a lot of places I would have never seen without stuntin....

and for anyone adding up ****.....its not about 7gs spent on a trashed bike or $300 in gas to go to stuntfest or getting tickets...
none of that **** can be considered a sacrifice to this "sport"

all of those things should just be charged to the game....cuz stuntin is just a hobby to you guys, you can be a baseball card collector and spend mad money on them....but how are you helping the baseball card industry???

true sacrifice for stunting begins with bodily injury and ends with mental strife

I for one have gone through both and often wonder how I got here and why I continue to do this.........

the true answer will forever be a mystery

Sincerely Yours,
Tru Lifer
