Dirtbike bar conversion ??

Okay I am sure this has been asked b4 but I am looking for some links to do this conversion.
I have a gsxr1000 and I think I would have to xtend the brake lines etc....
I have a spare triple clamp so I dont mind drilling....
Can someone point me in the right direction.
Cheers

i'm doing my 900rr. my friend on his gixxer 750 drilled his top clamp and put dirtbike clamps on it. i think they cost like 50$ from parts unlimited. He also had to get custom stainless brake lines from parts unlimited also. he added like 4" onto what he measured the stock length as to help clear it. I think he paid like 18$ a line plus a copule bucks for fittings.

You have to get longer lines, before he did it was tight, and when he pulled a wheelie the forks extended, locked up the front tire and made it real bad when he came down from the wheelie.

Kinda expensive, but you get what you pay for.

talked to Mark- MPZ a few days ago. He has the new Gen Gsxr too. He told me everything will fit except the brake lines. Just route the throttle cables behind the triples instead of in front...

I'll be doing mine this week.

Derek

I dropped some $$$ on this kit not long ago for the 929... Speigler is the only company selling this kit in the U.S. The main components of the kit (triple clamp/bars) are actually manufactured by LSL in Germany. It's a f***** nice setup but finding a steering dampner is gonna be tough. My Scott's dampner wouldn't work since no one makes an adapter for the LSL triple clamp. LSL can't help me cause they are in Germany and I don't speak german ....oh well guess I've gotta rig up an adapter for the Scott's

Triples

Freestyle Ingenuity has the Triple Clamps for 929/954 available but I don't think you get the extended lines or anything with it.

I just bought a kit of Nate CBR...he sent me pics and the conversion looks good. He did say that it wouldnt work on a 929 due to the shape of the triple clamp.
The kit cost me $115 US shipped to my door includes handle bars and the clamps.
Probably wont put them on this year pending weather.
Cheers
