who insures their bikes?

im lookin at getin another bike but since i totaled my tl and got a 13 point ticket that goes to court soon and last night i got a 4 point speeding, im not sure ill be able to insure my bike (if i even have a license!) im prolly gonna have to take out a loan so ill have to have full coverage but thats gonna be insane so ill probably drop it to liability or all together. how bad can they screw you if they catch you without insurance

points will get ya

One of the things progrssive did not no was the fact you had 13points and then another 4 to go with it. That is why it was so cheep. Have them factor in the points which will end up on you next statment and then compare. but and get a high deductable on you plane so your payments are smaller and they know you wont try to milk them every time you drop you bike.

No insurance required in Fla ?? You mean bike insurance isnt required to legally run your bike on the streets...or it is required but most of you just dont have it...
Cheers

It's not required. Just on new bikes that you buy from a dealer (I think, I could be wrong on that one).

Any one that has a bike on a loan and doesn't have the thing fully insured should get there head examined. That could be one expensive *** mistake if you ask me. I have personally seen friends pay for bikes years after they have been destroyed / stolen. Get what you can afford without the loan. In the words of a wise man (me) "Don't take more money to Vegas than you have" your playin with fire fool.

i got powergaurd instead of insurance. 5000 no questions asked if your bike gets stolen. its around 500 and you can get it whenever as long as you can show them your bike with serial numbers.

i am positive...a friend of mine bought a new r1 financed less then 10,000 and didnt need insurance....then another one bought a r6 and didnt need insurance with it financed under 10,000....where your brother got financed thru may require insurance but not all banks do....another one of my frinds bought a 2003 z400 and didnt have to insure it....just keep it under 10,000 and your straight

crazy1 most people pay 2000 or more a year for bike insurance...south florida insurance is high as hell...its just not worth paying something higher then your payment amiunt a month.....i have 0 points perfect driving record and i pay 1200 a year for plpd on a car for basic liability...doesnt even cover anything...insurance companys are scam artists...they rate your payments on your credit score now...and since i dont have good credit i have to pay high paymnets...pretty ****ed up i think...seeming ive never had a accident or anything
