I got an 06 Gixxer600 with a -1+2 setup, and I cannot for the life of me, get it up in 2nd gear. I get it up a little if I bounce it, but not enough to ride it out. 1st I can redline it out. But **** I cannot do a 2nd gear wheelie for the life of me!

 

#1 you are either 100% squid or #2, your clutch is toast. My guess is #1.

 

5,000rpm - rev her up and drop the clutch asshe passes 9,000rpm. you dont really have to worry about doing a backflip by over revving it; you'll just scare yourself and chop the throttle.


PSA: i was told that the GSXR oil pickup is a hazard on long wheelies. if you are mechanically inclined, you can probably modify it - look it up to see if it applies to your bike, I'd just pop the oil pan open real quick and take a look lol.
