I need help trying to clutch a wheelie.. Ive seen all the help videos and im revving the **** out of it in 2nd before popping the clutch. and nothing maybe 1 inch off the ground. I can do power wheelies but there gay i want that smooth looking wheelie. Could my clutch be bad someone please give me some advice.

 

maybe ur clutch is cooked... but revving the **** out is not going to help... you have to release clutch and less then a second later give it gas... i mean instantly...

try 1st gear first... way easier to learn..

dont slip the clutch... POP the clutch...

 

rider error. Just keep practising 1st gear clutch ups. 2nd gear is going to take alot more finess and yanking skills lol

 

whats the difrence (I cant spell that word..lol) between sliping it and poping it. I go like 20in 2nd rev it to like 12 and then let go of the clutch but keep the gas on at it does nothing...

 

slipping is when you let off the clutch slowly... popping is when ur release the clutch fast

 

are you on a 600? those are kinda hard to wheelie. on my f4i kinda the same, i have to kinda hop up and down on the rear pegs to get a big help to pick up my wheelie.

before ya say i suck, i already know i do. wanna show the hopping deal to help em out. im on all stock sprockets btw. Look at 0:12 for the way i hop. and pay attention to me **POPPING** the clutch.!

 

stock or 60 tooth... u should be able to wheelie....

are you doing set downs or stand ups...

f4i's make good stunt bikes..

Yeah there all on 2nd gear and stock sprockets. f16t r46t. the first runs were just lil pop ups, i was trying to get some pictures outta the videos. and then on some you can see how bad the wind pushes me to the side, sux living in south texas.

 

haha... looks good tho... try leaning back and easing off the the gas a little... u should be able to slow them down.

with the right speed u can get some sick *** pictures...

 

Yeah man ive gotten alot better since i got the hang of the f4i i only have like 2-3weeks with it.... set my personal record distance with this bike lol 2 miles

 

so you were popping it. I think Iknow what im doing wrong. you hoped and poped and gas all at difrent times but pretty much all together.. somthing lke that imm gonna try tomorrow ill you guys know how it goes. It is a 600 friday im getting -1 and +2 sprocket and chain change that should help right?

 

Its actually 4. While hopping as soon as you push down on the hop,yur giving it Gas as u get all the way down that's when pop the clutch and pull on Yur handlebars, while giving it gas.
