What are stunt bikes worth?
What are stunt bikes worth?
What would a stunt bike be worth?
-600cc
-Sprocketed
-Handbrake
-Round/12 Bar
-Dented Tank
-Caged
-Pegs
So basically covering the basic mods, 600cc's, and being say 2002+... what would y'all spend.
Obviously there are other factors, but I am talking ball park... What would make you walk away from the bike?

Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
Really depends on the condition of that parts and the bike. i'd say an already stunted F4i anywhere from $1000-3000, 636's prolly $2000-4500, those are the two most popular. I just sold my 01 F4i for $3200, granted i just finished building it up and put all the best parts on it you could i feel good about the sale! Just do reaserch!
Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
Titled or not would have a huge impact.
Lot bikes (no title) should really be dirt cheap. I'm probably getting a lot bike this upcoming spring. I wouldn't spend more than $1200 on one, irregardless of the model or mods. These bikes are a one-trick pony. Usually geared way too low for anything more than local streets. Usually no lights and really banged up. But excellent learning tools.
Street bikes - it depends. Keep in mind an '02 600 may get $3000 in stock, mint condition. Stunted, the bike will be beat, dented, and scratched.
Just for example, I got a mint '06 zx10r this summer. Clean title, about 8k miles. I paid well under $4k for it private party (I'm not putting the exact price). Realistically, a beat-up stunt bike would be lucky to sell for half of that.

Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
Thanks for your thoughts guys, damn its a lot cheaper down there. Everyone up here (at least around Toronto) thinks their **** is worth so ******* much.
Ya, I'll be in the market for something streetable, and when I am I'll be heading down to the states.

Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
mx597 let say you buy a mint bike for $3500, you are going to spend at least a grand to get it even close to stunt ready. yeah don't get me wrong some of these bikes have been beat to **** but really not all stunt bikes are garbage. My F4i was street legal and was may mint with $2000 worth of new stunt parts on top of the bike cost! I paid $4000 for my F4i when it was mint, took it home from the dealer put $1500 worth of stunt parts on it. rode it like that for a year, then put $2000 worth of all the best parts on it, a sick paint job. rode it for another few months and sold it for $3200. yeah in the long run i took a hit to the shorts on it but i came out on top when i bought my 06 gixxer. So to say all stunt bikes arent worth as much as mint bikes is not even close to correct. lots of money goes into these parts. and BTW not all stunt bikes are (no title) both of mine had clean and clear titles and are worth a lot more than $1200.

Also, as far as titles, I was just pointing out that if you only wanted a lot bike, you could save a lot of money if you found an untitled bike. Around NJ, no title usually = $1000 less, maybe more than that,
Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
I gotcha I just wanted to point out that there are stuntriders out there that put a lot of work into there bikes, what might look like **** to others is art to some.
And yes untitled bikes are cheaper but I would steer clear of that, lots of people getting in trouble over stolen bikes lately.

Re: What are stunt bikes worth?
Yea I have definetly seen a divide when looking at whats for sale or even the pics of bikes on here... its either a busted pile with stunt parts or a descent looking full fairing bike.
