Rear brake setup

I am no "squid" but I have only been stunting seriously for about 3 months. Right now I am running my handbrake to a dual banjo bolt with one master cylinder and caliper. I have never used a dual caliper and was just wondering if it was worth it.

Re: Rear brake setup

Dual cal is the way to go.

FTI has a new one out, 3 calipers that you can run in any configuration. Personally I'd run the single on the foot and 2 radials for the hand brake. Should give superior stopping power and superior pad life. His dual quad bracket is still a winner and so is the HOHEY.

Re: Rear brake setup

I personally wouldn't waste time with 3 calipers, way overkill, and would just add extra heat to the rotor

but dual caliper is the ****, tons of stopping power, 4 piston dual caliper is boss.. I personally wouldn't waste time getting a dual caliper single piston setup though, seems kind of pointless when a 4 piston setup costs the same and would have WAY more power and be more consistent!

Re: Rear brake setup

sounds good, i was just trying to be cheap and my current setup isn't bad, it just feels like it could be better... it is a little "squishy" some times. any suggestions for a dual caliper setup that isn't outrageously priced?

Re: Rear brake setup

If you guys think a pair of single piston calipers is sick ****, then youve got a long way to go.

I run a brembo 16 and a single 4 piston caliper on a bigger (zx11) rotor, and Id put that up against anything else out there.

but he has a gsxr, that combo isnt going to happen on that bike be nice if the zx11 rotor would fit.

Re: Rear brake setup

there is a big rotor kit from HHD but with supply issues and the star rotors being junk they arent even worth talking about really, I think that ***** over kill in my opinion anyways. We were doing almost all the same tricks with just the junction valves back in the day, They just leaked all the time and if one went out they both went out. Thats whats nice about the dual caliper setups, no worries about ****.

Re: Rear brake setup

yeah, my single caliper setup is getting the job done, for now and honestly I wasn't even thinking about dual calipers, let alone big rotors, until people started talking on here. it seems like it would be a lot safer to go with a dual caliper setup, so I think I am gonna pick one up.

Re: Rear brake setup

Does anyone know of anything out or in the works for a 2008 gsxr 600? I currently run a junction but just keep having issues. I've seen some ppl are grouping together on a T looking thing that replaced the adjuster blocks but not a big fan of it.
