I killed it on my fiddy, for me it wasnt enough of a challenge,IMO I dont feel like there is much comparison between a 50 and a big bike, especially between a 50 and an R1.
I say Just keep practicin on the big bike and dont waste your time practicing on 50 when your planning on ridin a big bike anyway. The months you'll waste on the 50 coulda been spent on seat time on the big bike.
It won't transfer over like some people may think. this **** dont happen over night, just keep grindin and eventually it'll all make sence

Dont tell everyone....

sounds like you have a lot of wants there brother.

get a 50. dont put much more than 700 or 800 in it and just have fun. they'll never die and even if you tank your r1 or future stunt bike at least you can always get on the fiddy and go have harmless fun. that's exactly what i did and when i was in-between bikes it was the only thing that got me through. haha even if you're not stunting your 50 its still just killer fun to go cruise some trails for dirrrrrrt cheap.

I will say... I never had a problem finding time to ride my 50... And everytime i have had a big stuntbike i never seem to have time to go somewhere to go ride.. the 50 i just killed the streets around my house..

If i ever get another stunt bike again it will be for sure another 50

50's are fun and you can ride them practically everywhere, I used to love stunting my 50

but once I was doing circles and no handers on my big bike, I have no desire to stunt the 50. Now mines for dirt only!!

I Know i would have more fun on a big bike if i took the time to learn tech. stuff but There was just always something going on .. With the 50 i could just hop on it for 20 30 mins around the house and not have to go anywhere..

Same here. With no industrial area for lots, i can hit the fiddy and tear up the nearby neighborhoods and then just fly back into my garage with plenty of time to make it to work, which seems to be all im doing now...

**** wish we had it as easy as you

after a couple years of riding streets on 50 they put a ban on it, if we get caught, it's gonna be the same charges as a sport bike except we'll also get no insurance/registration tacked on!

your gonna end up with NO fiddy at all

instead of spending $800 on a Fiddy
Use what you have
get a Cage,Subcage,12bar for your Bike
and Make it Happen

im Less than 2 hours from you
and we ride ALL year long!!!

Are you sure that the only law?

In Missouri, it cannot have an external shifter (so 50's automatically don't fall under moped laws), can't have over 2.5 brake horse power, and can't go faster then 35mph

I got pulled over a pocket bike once. Got tickets for No insurance, No registration, AND No inspection. Fought it. Showed documentation that the pocket bike COULD NOT be inspected, registered, or insured and got all charges dropped

Re: What all will a pitbike help you with..

I learned a lot on my 50...I didn't have a sportbike yet and only stunted a 50 it taught me brake and throttle control to a certain degree...So I sorta knew what was coming on a big bike just have to put it in perspective...Im 5'4 so getting a big bike was scary as **** for me I could barely touch the ground but I feel like being taller would of made me less afraid of it.....I def picked up on the brake control from my 50 but taming a big bike in 1st is not easy when you first start so I dont think throttle control really transfers over....2nd gear though was a lot easier for me...I'd say go with a 50 if you dont transfer anything over who cares you'll have a blast on it anyway...just dont do a 3rd gear seat stander topped out and drifted past bp cause that one hurt as bad as some of the crashes I've had on my big bike
