chain and sprocket help

didnt get the answers i wanted, so here it goes again. how many link chain would i need on my 07 gixx if i put a 60 tooth sprocket on it? and also where could i get an extra hub for it? so i could do a quick change of sprockets

if you get your chain and sprockets from phil at motoheaven he can tell you how many links you will need .

Or you can email the guys at TheStuntFactory....they told me how many links I would need in my chain when I bought my set up. They responded quick, too.

You need exactly 120 links to put a 60 tooth sprocket on your bike

Here is how to find it
( Difference in Teeth / 2) + 1 = Links needed to add to stock chain

Stock sprocket is 43 Teeth and the Chain stock is 110 links

( 17 / 2 ) + 1 = 9.5 , so round up to 10 . 110 + 10 = 120 Link Chain

^ but right now i got a 116 link chain with a 47 tooth sprocket. and ur sayin 120 would be good for a 60 tooth? i dont think so


just did the math to what u gave me. it says 123.
so off that i dont think i could get a 120 to strech it

116 links on a 47t? You sure about that? On my Gixxer I was running a 62t rear and my chain was 120 links.
