i got a 2004 636 and sometimes the fuel pump wont kick on unless i put it down on its side and tap it on the ground.... anyone know what this problem could be? i already bypassed my tip over sensor and bought a new fuel pump

 

also traded fuel pump relays with someone and still having a prob starting..

 

Just fixed this problem on my 03. My fuelpump wouldn't prime sometimes and I would throw it on it's side till it did then one day it stopes all together. Save ur self some time and go under the ignition i bet there is a wire that came off it was the gray one on mine. It took me 2 days befor I figured it out!! It still could be other thongs but that the same **** mine was doing. Just my 2cents...

yeah had the same **** happen on my 06, but it only happened when the bike was hot. i finally got tired of it and took it in to the shop cause i hate electrical bullshit. they replaced a cable, and disconected the kick stand sensor not it starts every time.

 

now it starts every time lol
