ya this was partially my fault... we had to swap the heads from the fresh new motor cuz andrew decided to pancake his **** and cracked the head all the way down the cam chain side of it from the valve cover to the cylinders... so we swapped the heads out and was in a big hurry n didnt adjust the valves... andrew found out why u dont rev-limiter your bike when it starts to bog down... exhaust valve floated and broke then causing the intake valve head to break off also... we found the exhaust valve STEM in the headers... and both valve heads stuck in the piston... give me a minute and ill upload the pic of the head and the piston

 

damn andrew **** sucks bro all this waiting and now some more waiting lol

damn that thing is fucked.......lol andrew just throw the spare motor in fix that one.

how many miles were on the motor?

valves out of adjustment causing it to blow? They must have been way out of adjustment.. Even then, you'd think it would burn a valve before it would hit the piston


Are you guys sure it was in timing, and the cam chain tensioner was set properly?

 

timing was set. the valves were not set. now someone find me a motor

did you change cams or the valves when you swapped the head?

If they were in adjustment on the old bike, wouldnt they stay close to adjustment on the new bike Or did you guys mix and match shims

 

just swapped the head,put the old cams into the newer head

was wondering what could have went wrong, but I can definitely see 'needing' a valve adjustment when you swap cams

Damn so that's what killed it huh? That really sucks man. So I guess you don't care if you get an 03-04 or 06-09 R6s motor since you already have the '05 throttle bodies and ECU...? I'll keep an eye out if you want.
