riding in neutural

whats the trick to getting in Neutural when riding with speed. Ive tried it like two or three times but it sounded like my clutch was going through hell so I stopped trying it. I like to stand up on the gas tank when riding until someone asked me if i do it in gear or in neutural. I was just picking up speed in gear and jumping up there. so I been trying to learn to get it in Neutural in speed

with the idle turned up the bike will jus keep pullin itself, you can stand up on the tank for a good min that way

Re: riding in neutural

putting it in neutral wouldn't do anything with the clutch, what you are hearing is your transmission

If you really wanted to shift into neutral at speed, you'd need to match the revs to your speed for each gear as you down shift, otherwise you risk damaging your gears slightly every time you "CLANK" them down a gear

like brkngsxr said, kick your idle up so it keeps your speed going.. With your idle up you can just keep riding standing up

Re: riding in neutural

i can find neutral just fine even if im going like 70(though i dont do it unless im coming off the highway to the stop light that takes like 2 minutes after i stop)...sounds to me like you just need more practice and learn more precise control.

Lowering air pressure is like putting on stickers. It adds extra hp. I'm running -14psi with 65 racing stickers as well. My 636 is now pushing 290 hp to the rear wheel.
