That might be the case, but you are immediately SUPPOSED to call in a stop which is followed by a call for pursuit.

Yeah but in NY, because of the high risk of a chase police arent suppose to pursue so they wont call it in unless they catch you..

We have lots of cars here in NYC and bad drivers. So its way dangerous, but fun.. the end.....

that statement only applies if you are dumb enough to remain on the same road....and you have to be really dumb to stay on a highway thinking they wont radio ahead.

my personal rules of running.

gas must not be on E
must have some idea where i am
must have a good working trustworthy bike with decent tires
must be warm enough for tires to grip properly
must know that i was caught doing something expensive

then
1st step when i know im getting stopped. haul *** to the first intersection or if on highway take first exit ramp possible (accelerate hard, brake hard) turn whatever direction i know isnt gonna dead end me. then just repeat those steps until i find a good place to hide my bike and call someone to come pick me up. i normally never break 80 mph in a chase.

youre riding an f4i and its geared im sure, you will get caught if you stay on the highway. regular cruisers will do around 125 which is about all youre going to do on that f4i with gearing. not to mention the pursuit cars that will blow your f4i away/helicopters/ radioing ahead. our advantage over the cops is how fast we accelerate and stop, believe it or not those cop cars can handle twisties real well too. ive been scraping peg in corners running from a trooper once and he was staying right on my *** on a country road.

lol that is a rare occurrence, id rather not chance. cuz it really stings when the cop and i are being really cool to each other and he still comes back with a ticket

agreed. but after 3 minutes if the cops still on ure *** hes on that radio callin road blocks and streets. idk how those guys went 40 miles with one cop chasing them and no roadblocks. thats very odd. and y the hell didnt they split up? when u split the cops r like "oh ****, which one do i go for?" and that right there usually screws them up.

but then again ive never been in an actual chase and i honestly dont no anybody else who has. what happens to me is they'll be in oncoming traffic or pulled over somewhere and ill twist throttle outa there, make some quick turns and hunker down asap. ive never tried to run with them already on my taillights.

they only have so many cars in so many places at once. the quicker you lose em the better it will be. i only had one chase last any distance and they did get one other car to try and head me off but i saw him and split a diff intersection. trust me, if you know what youre doing its near impossible for the cops to catch you on a bike minus a mechanical failure.

Re: Bike Chase with my boy, not a happy ending

on a nice night, and having a couple beers is enough for me to feel that the cop is going to be n ******* for doing 15 over on a rocket, when i could easily be doing 130+..... i agree that it was dumb to be drinking and riding then running, and obviously it impaired his judgement on the turn, but for a cop to pursue so diligently like that for 85 in a 65 is just pointless if chase begins. Yes its breaking the law but who honestly keeps there bike at the Speed limit on the highway especially at 230 in the morning when traffic is at a minimal and a good night of freinds and beer. not plastered at at, he got his BAC results and it was right on the legal limit .08. im not blaming the cops for doing there job, but if he wouldnt of chased so long and gave up, they would have made it home safe in the next 3 miles.

oh and its an 08 ZX6, and if its somewhat salvageable he is going to need parts. if not them what is not damaged will be sold.

his job?.... to pursue 3 rockets for breaking a speed limit on a highway?? at 230 in the morning...? his job is maintain order on the streets not instigate in a ******' high speed chase that could of killed someone.... stupid me for thinking there is such thing as police discretion when it comes to law.... ya thats much more important to chase the bikes than to maintain his post and wait for a potential more neccesary pursuit, maybe a fatal car crash, semi-flipped over, drug shooting who knows, but ya your right man, chase them mother ******* down no matter what!!
