Help me ghetto rig my headlight

I had purchased an Acerbis Blitz headlight a few months ago, and it did not come with a harness. Basically, I just have 2 bulbs with prongs sticking out of them and nothing to plug it into. These are the bulbs:

I'm a terrible electrician, so what I need to know is the best way to ghetto rig this. Before, I had a butt connector crimped onto one of the prongs, and a wire crimped into the other end running directly to the fusebox. That was fine and all, but after 1 drop the prong broke off inside the butt connector. I didn't realize it til the light started flashing and I blew a fuse. What would be the most secure way to ghetto rig this ****? I'm going to buy another bulb for $5, but don't want to just crimp on another butt connector only to have it snap off. Any ideas?

Re: Help me ghetto rig my headlight

easiest way is just wire it straight to the battery with a switch in the middle to turn it off and on

ZIP TIESfor mounting if possible
And if your talking about how to secure the wires to the prongs go to the closest auto parts store and buy some male and female connectors

use a soldering iron and solder a wire to each prong, then at the other end of the wires put a set of bullet connectors(they can be connected/disconnected many times)and then plug in to your existing headlight wires you were already using but now you gotta bullet connector on it.

I didn't even know you could solder right onto the prong. What do you suggest? Just wrap the entire prong in like spiraling wire and start soldering? I'm a **** electrician.

Re: Help me ghetto rig my headlight

yes, solder all the around each prong, then you can cover the soldered wires n prongs with a couple pieces of shrink tube.

and when that bulb burns out just solder the new bulb the same way with a male or female connector then just plug it in.

If you don't know how to solder then I'm sure your dad or someone you know, knows how,I think all dad's had to take a soldering class at one time in their life.
