Im putting a 929 front end on my F4i. I guess if I run clip ons on top of the triple its too low? thats why people setup the hohey top triple?

So if I get the SI 1 inch rise clip ons and mount them under the triple, I should have the same height setup as say the Hohey with Vortex clip ons?

 

That's the right idea. But why not get both and have the best of both worlds. I did on my 636 with si 1 inchers and HoHey tripple. It's ******* great

 

woodcraft also has clip ons with risers, with all diffrent lengths too

 

Then you should just run DBBars

 

check the location of the pinch bolts on the triple. you can do it with a 636 cuz the bolts are on the back. im thinkn honda puts the pinch bolts out front so the side mounts might clear

 

You don't get the best of both worlds, you've just wasted money on 2 components then

 

im doin the same thing in the next week and i ordered the side mount clipons. dunno if its gonna work or not

 

thats what i thought... the SI clip ons if they work out to the same height are cheaper.

never had a problem with running my vortex clipons on top with a 929 front end and stock clamp, i cold see u smashing a radiator with 1000rr forks with clipons on top or maybe some blown seals on the 929.

i have fi clips on sstock 929 clamp, raised tubes a bit and mounted bars on top, no probs really. i run ff so my f fender will hit the under side of the upper once in a while if i rat trap hard....but i would love to try those new sick side mounts...thay look gangster!!! rkarmor has som bars he makes too, that look pretty cool kinda like converta bars, wayyyy adjustable

 

ah maybe i did..i already had the hohey tripple with stock 636 clipons...when si came out with the side mount, i just had to have them so i did..all entitled to their own opinion...but dirt bars look gay and i get the height of dirtbars with clipon looking style...i had the money so i used it.

 

+1 dirt bike bars are ugly looking unless ure sf then they look ok. Scottys **** is ballin! super clean looking and evan nicer to ride with!

 

I've got the SI 0* side mounts up top on my 6. They are nice!
