quick question.
quick question.
So i sold my 04 cbr600rr, and i had it geard -1 +8, and could do really really long stand ups on it, around 55-60mph and keep them really smooth using the rear brake. Now i sold my bike last sunday due to it getting high in miles, and it was too nice to trash and make a stunt bike, so i bought an 06 ZX10 so i can make it nice and be my "show bike" but im still gonna pull the occasional wheelie. My question is, is a liter bike alot harder to keep smooth in a wheelie? ive been riding sportbikes for about 4 years now and have been riding dirt for about 10 so i know what im doing, just never wheelied a 10 before. thanks.
Re: quick question.
alright kool thanks, i was told by someone that 10's are redicously harder to keep smooth because of the power but i didnt believe that, i figured it was just brake control like on my 600. itll b nice having something i dont have to rev the **** out of to get it to come up lol
Re: quick question.
using the brake at 55 or 60 mph should only be done if you are looping , if you use the brake the whole time you are doing a wheelie at that speed it is gonna cook your brake fluid and then when you really need it it wont be there especially on a 1000 ...
throttle control and engine brake is all you need at that speed and the brake should only be used if you go back to far and the engine brake wont bring the bike back ...

Re: quick question.
yea i learned that the hard way, i didnt loop it or anything or come clsoe, just my buddy was riding next to me and yelled at me and my brake rotor was glowing red at night lol....i think my foot just gets lazy and i end up pressing on the brake and dont realize it. cuz my foot is ALWAYS over the brake that way its already in position if i need it..
