I molded my stock fairing after I dented my tank.

dent the metal part of the stock tank, then mold plastic tank cover with a heat gun to the shape of the dent you just made.just like on an 04 600rr.

Re: new tank help... please

I don't think they have a tank shroud. Aren't they just a front shroud like the Gixxers?

Re: new tank help... please

hey thanks. yeah i have the stock tank dented but with that small front intake cover in front of the tank it looks horrible. and molding it would be a bitch since its just a small shroud. ill keep my eyes to the page and ears open. also thanks for the link when you post it.

Re: new tank help... please

You cant really put another tank on the bike because the air box isnt going to fit under the bike. You just have to live with what ever dent you can make. Same goes for the newer gsxr's too. I sell a tank pad that you can glue onto the bike to give you a better back lip.

Re: new tank help... please

Hey man I own C4-revolutions and this is what I did with my new bike tank.
I would not mold the plastic to the mettle It never works. It always cracks. Just do a good dent and leave the cover alone.
