Re: 03/04 636 Trouble Codes Help!!!!
did u connect the stock clutch lever wires together when u did the new wiring swap? thats what kept my bike from starting after i did a new wiring harness. i found a thread on here that shows which one u have to connect.
Re: 03/04 636 Trouble Codes Help!!!!
I know it's different but just tryin to give you other places to look if you haven't already.
My f4i has 2 relays in the tail section, one wire on the connector that goes to one of the relays was breaking, everytime my bike took a small jolt or came down a lil hard it would wiggle the wire and lose the connection causing the bike to either bog or simply just shut off, that one stupid wire was the fuel pumps lifeline,I rewired it and been good ever since.
Make sure your "main" fuse and the wire/wires that go to it is making good contact,My main fuse wasn't pushed down hard enough to lock in place and popped off killin all power.I also had a hot/power wire rub and eventually arced out on my tank that caused me to lose all power.
Tighten both battery terminals, and check every single wire goin into the ECU,I had 3 of mine that had bare wire showin from the abuse of jumpin on the seat.
Good luck Kyle and If I think of anything else I'll post it.Wiring is the devil to me but if you start soldering whatever you can, eventually you wont ever have to worry bout **** coming loose.

and you can mount your ignition anywhere so it would be a nice simple fix. Re: 03/04 636 Trouble Codes Help!!!!
any luck yet. if you can get ahold of a meter start checking the voltage at the fuel pump plug with the key on then work your way back my f4i some how fried a ground wire inside the harness one time and it was a pain to find till i got out a meter.... hope u get her fired soon goodluck

Swap your ignition switch if you have a spare, the 636 ignition wiring has a bad habit of the wires going into it being pulled out of the circuit board....Ive seen this problem cause the fuel pump not to turn on more then a few times
