It could be something else, my clutch still feels pretty good on my f4i at 40k.. But yours could be more worn then mine

i just put brand new clutch plates, springs, cable (the hole 9 yards) and my clutch is still stiff i havent put ez pull on yet but i think it has something to do w cable

Just cut and splice, or buy 2 male spade connectors, and make like a 1" long jumper wire with the spade connectors on it so you can plug them in..

did you look at the basket closely? I'm sure it's groved, although I know mine is also.. Just how grooved is the question
Probably not the answer you want to hear, but I'd try looking for a clutch basket or a complete clutch assembly off a used bike with low miles...

Although that might not be your issue. Have you disconnected your cable and make sure it slides 100% perfect? (lube it also while its off). Is your clutch cable routed really nice?

What brand clutch did you put it in? Aftermarket clutches almost always have stiffer springs then stock.. If you put in stronger springs I'd put stock springs back in!
