****** 50 forks

Anyone ever done fork seals on fiddy forks? I am putting in the HD springs, and the forks are bleeding like its that time of the month. There are no real seals though, just the lower boots. Anyone ever done their seals on a fiddy, what should I be doing to these things.

Re: ****** 50 forks

There isn't fork oil in them.....just grease to keep them from chafing/rusting.

Re: ****** 50 forks

haha fork seals and fork fluid

Are you running stock forks?

Did you put fork oil in there? If so, I gotta say thats funny as hell, and sorry about the mess it made

what the toher guys said, just grease in there, no seal. Just a dust boot to keep the grease in and the dirt out.

Use any grease you want, I just get some from walmart, and COAT everything in gobs of it, the more grease the better, it stops the forks from 'clanging'

+1 bushings make a huge improvement for taking out the slop in the forks.... Well worth the money and might as well since your doing the springs its the perfect time to swap them while the legs are apart
