st. louis.
Okay so im moving back up there me and my woman have decided so i just need the lowdown from someone that lives there i moved from there with my parents when i was ten so i dont know **** about it i need to know where to look for a reasonable place to move and maybe some employment i got laid off work here in arkansas like 2 months ago and there really isnt anymore work around here.... get at me with some ideas thanks.
Re: st. louis.
north co is pretty cheap, but for a reason, hazelwood west / bridgeton area isn't too bad if you do go that route though. i moved into breckenridge / overland area for cheap... i'd recc south city / county too. my work is dead in the new hires dept and don't really know much about any others. good luck.

Re: st. louis.
Yea i think im gonna look in the south city area.....or im gonna look in the outer area somewhere i dont know yet...i want to move there in the next month or so my lease is up at the end of nov. so i dont know i have some money saved but i need to find a job asap....i need to find somewhere for like 700-825 a month i have big dogs so...i kinda want a house or a duplex with a yard and atleast a single car garage....any help would be nice fella o and i have an extra 636 someone might be able to get pretty cheap if i move up there,,,,
Re: st. louis.
i'd look into st. charles. they have some nice area's a lil outside of st. louis, for the most part its a younger area and newer in development as a whole. fun downtown area for getting drunk. you may have a hard time finding a decent house / condo for that price range but if you could afford 900-1000 a month you'd be good for sure..
i wound up buying a house about 6 months ago so i haven't really payed attention to prices as a whole. my girl lives in some apts in lake st. louis, camden cedar lake or something. they're pretty cheap and the area is nice if you want to go fishing or go to parks n ****. its close to bush wildlife and wineries, theres a nice park on the other side of 40 where theres frisbee golf and dog parks... 600 a month for one room (like 850 sq ft i think) and theres been no problems with my rhodesian ridgeback whos around a buck 40. though they don't technically know he lives there 50% of the time.. some bitch had a great dane so i'm sure they don't care that much. if you go that route though get a top floor cuz you can hear through my girls ceiling pretty good lol. commuting to st. louis from there can be a bitch.
the hill is another cool place to live. no garages but great place to live, within walking distance to just about anything and great food / people...

Re: st. louis.
if you look in the city ANYWHERE in the city, get a garage,or you wont have your bike long.i left the city it is getting too bad down there, after one stolen bike, almost one stolen car, four car windows, one full system,i decided to leave and move to the county.just got a house in north county and love it,and good price,1728 sq ft.,120000.in my opinion the city is not where you want to be,the city is where you hear shots every few hours during the summer and south city is where EVERYONE steals EVERYTHING.the county is ALOT different.in the county my r6 has been parked outside the aparment for along time and not one person tripped off it,in the city i did that and they stole my bike within six months

Re: st. louis.
Yea i hear ya i want a house i think im gonna look in the jefferson city are....I have a woman and dogs i dont want to have to worry about my **** or her all the time i dont want to be anywhere ghetto to be honest....but IM NOT RICH haha so lets be reasonable i want a backyard and a garage....must have a garage. I found a really nice house in the university city but my aunt live down there and says its super ghetto so let me get the lowdown.
Re: st. louis.
if the house is super cheap it may be in a bad area lol... as a whole from what i've seen anything inbetween delmar blvd to olive blvd (which is north of delmar) isn't bad and from hwy 170 (west) to hodiamont ave (eastern border). everyone has a different opinion of "ghetto".. and parts of u city have flooded before so if you even consider it make sure it's away from any creeks or anything.
check out overland or breckenridge hills. it's not too far from that area and it's very reasonably priced.. i have a 1 car garage w/ a good sized backyard for the dogs, about 1200 sq ft with a full basement (so close to 2000 sq ft) almost fully renovated for under 90k.
otherwise i'd suggest sticking with jeff co, cheap land and houses..

and if you did move to u city you're close to the loop, kinda cool place to walk thru and chill. tattoo shops / coffee / pipe shops / restaurants / the pageant, has a lot of concerts.. a metro station on delmar for going down to the ballpark or doing whatever..
Re: st. louis.
jefferson city is like an hour away from st louis, and not many stunts down there.delmar is good but that is also RIGHT next to the city, nice to go down there, not nice to live,i used to live 10 min walk to delmar and **** goes on everynight.and the metro in delmar has been having people get robbed, beat up,and families not just young people, not a great area.trust me if you just coming back look in south county, maplwood, crestwood,i got a real nice fenced yard two car garage for under 110000 in north county.city is nice if you have no family and can afford a garage but then again a friend lives in the city and drive a corvette and they try to break into his garage like at least once a month..............hint hint hint...........the st louis city is NOT the place to be,it is cool to go down and have fun but no live........um no.i have lived in kirkwood, maplewood, valley park, and the city.no prolbems with **** getting messed with anywhere but when i go to the city.
