Looking at buying a crashed 2000 GXSR 600, and the front end is pretty much ripped off. IThe question is i plugged in most of the wiring harness's that were disconnected and messed with the clutch switch that has to be disengaged and I cant get it to fire. So what wires are in the front fairing that would prevent the bike from starting. Maybe some fuse relays or something that I am overlooking. Anybody have any ideas? I would love to pick this thing up but wont buy a bike that doesnt run. The taillight and horn work so I know we are getting power. What you think guys?

had the cluster plugged in but looked like no power to it.

 

is the key barrel there?

 

Yeah the key was a little bent but went in and turned on, so the brake light would come on. There was a plug outlet connected to a small fuse box with out a plug going to it and I couldnt locate the plug and I'm wondering if that was it

 

the main plug to the front end on the left side of the fairings has to be plugged in if it is not ran on the fairings it will be ran on the left side of the frame...your gonna want to spray dialectric grease in there cause it may not make connection...good luck

hey man i run an 04 with no cluster it dont matter. try pulgen the cluster in and see if u have an FI code if so then look up the code, i have hade a problem with the starter relays on my bike i think i have been throw about 4 already so try that

 

haha i dont wanna be "that guy" but check the little things like the kick stand and clutch sensors. im not gunna lie and say i have never forgot dumb **** like that

 

and the tip over sensor. i dont know where the TOS is, but in some bikes its in the nose. if the nose is all fucked up and its in there, it may be oriented wrong. worth a quick check
