636 triple tree on f4i

636 triple tree on f4i

tryin to get some different forks on my f4i. had 929 triple tree and forks on my other one. have 600rr triple tree and forks on it now but can't find and cheap clip ons. tryin to see if 636 triple tree will work on the f4i. or i'll just get 929 triple tree with 636 forks.

any help

you cant use 929/954 triples with 636 fork tubes.

why's that? 636 clip ons fit on 929 forks.

different spacing, the distance between the forks arent the same

it the bottom triple that wont work..ive hear of poeple shimming it with soda cans but i dont think that is very safe..

Hey man, what year bottom triple are you running with the RR front? I know it has to be from an 05+, but I'm having a hard time locking down a bottom tree from an 05/06 and wondered if the 07+ fit....

I have seen it first hand and I think it would be fine if you got someone to make proper shims. But the beer cans and silicon did work for a while.

what about just usin the whole front end off a 08 636 triple tree, forks, everything...
