I cut the sides down on my factory tailight so that it would fit up inside the round bar then drilled 2 holes on the flat part of the round bar to bolt it in. That was on an f4i but you should be able to do the same on a 636. It looked really clean and kept me from getting ran over.

After looking at countless forums, threads and pics I took scott982's advice for my 636.
I bought an after market tail light (smoke lense for that stealth look) on ebay and cut/filed it to fit the shape. I then bought some red 12v LEDs and them to the bike with double sided tape.
If post pics but I'm a forum newb and don't know how...
