Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
I was told by one cop I'd have to have written permission, the lot walled off, and they'd have to put me on their insurance for 1mil coverage. Of course he was prob pushing the matter bc he could tell I was getting pissed talking to him about a sign they ticketed me for running (it wanst even an intersection, just a random curve in an apt complex marked as a city street). Dude wanted to play smart with me and I wasnt having it.
On another note I know there is a guy here in Dallas talking about getting a "for all the Haters" ride together. Wanting it to be the largest stunt ride in the state of TX. I know we have multiple stunt groups and tons of clubs in the area. Plus the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex is huge and we already take up the whole hwy on our weekly rides.

yeah I agree were punks in their eyes, maybe we should hit up the AMA and see if they can't help? I dont know what they could do but they seem to be like the leader in motorcycle rights. . .
Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
Next year there could be a 2 day Hollywood blox party from NY and end up in front of the white house getting as many people as possable to join in along the way.
Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
We need to do something big. But as mentioned before, It will take more than one event. One event will draw attention for the time being but ultimately be ignored. Unless it was big enough..

^ i like the whole legal way and everything, but i feel something more drastic needs to take place. We need to send the state leg. and other politics a loud message that says: Hey you corny *** ******* we are only growing in numbers and its only going to get worse, so ease up, change laws, make sanctions, or do something! Or we will continue to wreak havoc on the streets. I dont know guess i just have a passion for the rebel let our opinions be heard kinda solutions, but look how things of that nature have worked in the past. Seems to well in many other scenarios. So lets riot. lol

Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
Rebelling is really gonna work..
There are a lot more people who actually vote that are against wheelies, then people who support them I guarantee it..
Honestly, if we did try to rebel, they'd just say "ok, lets make the laws like Florida, do a wheelie, lose your license and get 1k fine"
Our states aren't gonna roll over because people go on a mass ride. They aren't powerless to stop us. They will just make the fines way worse, and make examples out of the few they can catch.

i'll take a donut that you are on the money. regardless, the definition of a "motor vehicle" includes a motorcycle pursuant to state law. BOOOOOO-YA. One word, repeated multiple times... RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN. HA!
Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
**** the police *****!!! i cant ****** stand cops!! ROC cross the country!!
Re: Cops Please post up on this (laying drag)
Matt, I think part of what they said was bs. I had a GC cop knock on my door for riding slow wheelies in my neighborhood (on a ttr with no traffic before anyone freaks out) and I asked him where I could ride legally. He said I needed written permission and close the lot.
This is all bullshit. We try to be responsible with our sport by taking it to the lots. Cops should recognize and appriciate what we are doing. Instead, we are harassed and threatened for trying to be safe about it. For anyone who doesnt know, this spot is VERY well out of the way of ALL traffic.
