back brake

it seems like my back brake isn't working as well as it should, could this be because of low brake fluid? it just seems like i have to mash it down to get it to grab.

try bleading your rear brake, and or adjust the lever.

you might need two people to do this, unscrew the rear break reservoir, their is a small ruber cap on top of your break caliper with a bolt like thing under it, take the rubber cap off and find a tube that you can put around that part. pump the rear break about 5 to 6 times then keep a good amont of pressure on the lever, unscrew the small bolt with the tube on with a 8mm open end wrench untill the pressure releases on the break lever. tighten the 8mm bolt and repeat the process. (make sure not to let the pressure off of the break lever until you tighten the bolt back up). keep doing this untill the break fluid is on low, refill to to high and repeat process until it feels better or do it till the resevoir is on low, then refill and that shoulb be good enough. oh yeah, keep something under the tube while doing this. around the second time you pump and unscrew the bolt, break fluid should gush out of the tube. hopes this helps

or, take your bike to a local bike shop and i'm sure the will be more than happy to show you. it's pretty easy, but i think its easier doing it rather than someone trying to explain it on a thread.
