Re: turbo bikes?

Yeah I guess 175hp just isn't enough for some people. But the idea of 5th gear 170mph freeway wheelies sounds like something we all need right?

that **** would blow after about 40 minutes of riding but I think with a small enough turbo and only like 3 psi for the boost I think it would be fun as hell with like a 60tooth haha

350-400hp is just about perfect on the street in a car. a turbo on a bike would be like a 1000hp in a car. its just way to much on the street. if you can afford it and the hospital bills then to each his own.

You wont ever need 350 or more Hp on the street there is just no need for it... Cars with 200 do just fine.. Im not saying i dont want it and i also have it with my cobra and i love driving that car. my 65 is even somewhere around 350... im not saying its stupid to have more ... i was just trying to make a point.. If you want it... and you can handle it.. and have the means of geting it... Do it..

Re: turbo bikes?

I had a 03 750 turbo and it was one of the funnest bikes I have ever rode. The power band is just totally different then a regular bike. I have a used turbo kit that will fit a 01-02 1000 and maybe a 03-04. with some slight mods if you are interested

Re: turbo bikes?

my old pontiac lemans was pushing around 350hp but it was also a boat on wheels and old technology. i like having expendable power to get up and go when i want to and 200hp just wont cut it. i also think a liter bike is almost to much on the street. i love overtaking my buddies on thier liter cuz they fear the power. i guess realisticly, its about the users skill level that would determine what to much power is. if you fear the unpredictability, its to much. you said it best...."if you want it, and you can handle it."
