Re: turbo bikes?

my 600 is fast enough with just engine. a turbo would only be good for track use and maby show. you would never get full use out of it on the streets

+1, My CBR1000 is plenty fast, def. wouldnt put the money into a turbo... Waste of money unless you want some sort of a bragging right, or something for racing. But would look PIMP!!

Re: turbo bikes?

one guy in new caslte has spray on his gsxr 1k.. another in the area i dont think new castle but pittsburgh area has a turbo'd busa... both stretched obviously.. And one busa i saw at bike night 2 weeks ago was stretched, dropped, sprayed, and boosted... like 300 on the back.. i can't put a lot of money into a bike cuz after i own it.. they all become garbage.. from my dirtbikes to my race quads.. to my streetbikes.... all worked after i own them :-)

Re: turbo bikes?

Make sure you get an upgraded clutch. It will burn on a 240 tire.

Re: turbo bikes?

i got a turbo on my 1000.. 06 Gixxer 1k, 1147 kit, streached 13 '', power commander, brocks performance full exhaust, MPS air shifter, lowered and strapped, drag tire, custom air box... and the turbo i'm only pushin like 13 psi tho.. so nothing huge like some of those busa guys that are pushing in the 20's and 30's

Re: turbo bikes?

I havent ridden a turbo busa, but i did ride a turbo'd 954. And it was absolutely sick...the bike wasnt stretched or anything soooo pretty much when it spooled the front end was comin up. Talk about an exhilerating ride.
On the street though...eh, you'll never really use it to its full potential...but yeah they do sound sick!

Re: turbo bikes?

Hahahaha Ed1000 was down here and we went out and got some grub with some local ink squirters. One was a kid with a sick brand new gixxer1k roland sands everything on it, turbo and nitrous, 300 rear wheel...super clean. We ate dinner, he got on his bike and 30 seconds later he wrecked into a house! It was the 3rd time the kid had ridden it after the turbo. Probably the first time he had gotten on it. They said there was a 1400 foot burnout mark until the road ended up at a dead end with a house. Kid shattered his pelvis, broke his collarbones, and shoulder. He's fine now. He was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a helmet. No gloves. 25 grand in the bike. Gone with only liability on the insurance.

Re: turbo bikes?

In other words: if you turbo a gixxer 1000 don't test run it in a 25mph residential neighborhood!!!

Re: turbo bikes?

Didnt i read like week week ago you asking about a street stunter and if you can rock circles on a stretched 1000? Haha i don't think it would be too easy witha turbo spooling up.

But i would like a gsxr1k with a turbo, not stretched. I would want it a sleeper if you will. But id rather put that money into a new stuntbike
