overheating problem

overheating problem

i know im in the wrong thread but is it ok if i run bike without the thermostat?

no it is not ok. the solution to better cooling in the engine is to move less water in a more rapid fashion, rather than moving more water. without a thermostat a normal funcioning bike will take forever to warm up and can run too cool on the highway. if your bike has an overheating problem you need to fix it. remove the cause and not the symptom dr frankenfooter. like oil, antifreeze requires scheduled flushing and changing. but few people ever do, and this leads to problems. rumor has it a water pump either works or it doesnt, and only the bearings or seal will fail causing noise or leakage. this is only part true.
