I pulled over after getting clocked going 85 in a 55 around 2pm on a weekday once on my old 900rr. Turns out the cops were doing ride alongs with elementary schoolchildren and appreciated that I didn't try to start a high speed pursuit. They let me go with a verbal warning.

 

30 over and they let you go?! damn that's nice...you should have bought those kids some ice cream for saving your ***!

 

yeah i was afraid of losing my bike more than my license at the time. state farm is dropping my motorcycle coverage on june 1st so i wasnt too pissed about losing my license had **** gone down, because i would have been stuck to lots soon anyway, but that didnt happen so

 

After going through the whole "do you know how fast you were going" speel, they told me "Normally you would be in handcuffs, but today we are taking it easy" as he looked back at the young kid riding shotgun. The police vehicle was a Saturn SUV.
