Need quick help!

Alright guys, I need to take off the front sprocket of this 80cc 2stroke engine I mounted to a mountain bike so that I can get the chain on it. I took off the nut, but now I can't get the sprocket off. What the **** do I do? I'm kinda new to bike mechanics, and I don't want to kill it. Anyone out there who can help me?

Re: Need quick help!

if you have the nut off, hit it with a rubber mallot or something, its probably just ceased on.

Re: Need quick help!

Also, this motor is brand new and hasn't been ran yet. Just thought maybe that might help.

Re: Need quick help!

I got it. All it took was a couple knocks to shake it loose. Wanna know what's a ******* bitch though? I realized that the cheap *** mother ****** I bought the **** from, gave me a fucked up master link clip. First it was the throttle grip, now the chain, plus there was a leak in the fuel line. So tomorrow I gotta go to the scooter store and hope they have just master links (or better yet, just the clip) cause I can't spring for a new chain right now. The whole project shouldn't have taken more than a couple hours, but its been days cause of all the bullshit I've been going through with these **** **** parts.

Thanks for the help though guys. If I try to wheelie it I'll make sure to get a video, cause I'm 99% sure I will loop it seeing as how 80cc 2 stroke vs mountain bike brakes isn't a very fair matchup.

Re: Need quick help!

They should just have the master clips..... I've gotten a grip of em before, usually in stock too....

Re: Need quick help!

Well, you'll have to. I can't get it running. The master link I bought was the wrong size, so when I put it on and started to push it (I wasn't paying attention it was too big) it got stuck when it got to the front sprocket and bent the clip. I took the dude my old master link, and he gave me this one, so I was under the impression it was right. Also, there was no tensioner (that I saw at first) so I cut out 6 links, then I found the tensioner and don't have enough chain now. I did manage to get it on, and felt I had the tension right, so I pulled in the clutch, pushed it down the driveway and let the clutch out, and nothing. I can't figure out what's wrong with it, maybe the wires came apart (the stupid thing came with bare wires I had to twist together and tape with electrical tape).

Anyone in Orlando wanna lend a helping hand? PM me with a price quote of how much you'd want to help me figure out what the problem is. Once again its a 80cc 2 stroke engine, and I think my problem is with the clutch and chain more than anything else. I'm going to Jealse Scooters tomorrow to get another master link in exchange for this wrong one he gave me. I have a feeling he'll give me a hard time though, since when I called back and told what happened he just said "oh well".

But, if I ever do manage to get it working, I will upload a video.
