New style clutch design - lever/perch
Re: New style clutch design - lever/perch

I would buy a billet clutch perch on two conditions. One, it would have to be a perfect CAD mirror of the msr raptor shorty perch and not some ghetto turd that has extra pieces sticking out that would interfere with my handbrake. And two it would have to be as easy to pull as the MSR.
The MSR is weak but I rarely change those out MAYBE once every 2 years and not even that.

Mine is designed to fit better with your handbrake and a little better finger position all while being at least as easy to pull as the MSR / Moose.
Difference between theirs and mine is Mine is designed to used on a streetbike with a handbrake sitting next to it, not a dirt bike
Re: New style clutch design - lever/perch
I know I'm gonna get some hate for this since my bars aren't out and here i am already working on other designs.....
I want to check the need for the following before I go any further with the next idea...
Ok here it is:
Billet perch
Billet lever with replaceable insertable lever
Only 1 hole for the cable.... EASY
THe next idea is the newest,
I want to have it so that you have more room for setting it up next to the handbrake as far as cable adjuster and all but, also this setup will make it possible to get the clutch lever and brake lever closer without having to stretch your 1st and 2nd finger as far apart from each other (vertically) but still be able to pull the clutch all the way in and not hit your 1st finger with your brake.
It also seems to give less arm pump because your finger moves in a more natural and stronger position.
Sorry no pics yet but one has been made for me to test out for a while.
Next project:
New style master cylinder with similar lever design as above ^^^^that put the brake/clutch levers side by side on the same plane.
Also should have smoother operation than any other and will probably outlast your stunt riding career
It's a completely different internal design

He did use a GP Tech adapter, but that was years ago and he only used the adapter, not the kit that joins your clutch and HB master. No worries bro, just clearing **** up
Re: New style clutch design - lever/perch
how does he like it.... is the pull on the clutch difficult or easy? and by the looks of the gp tech for some reason it looks like the the assembly would put itself farther away from the bars...is it hard to get used to or is it an automatic bad *** addition ????
Re: New style clutch design - lever/perch
Oops, I wasn't very clear. He only used a GP Tech junction valve, NOT the assembly you're talking about. As far as the junction valve, he said it worked fine on his GSX-R, but he know some people it didn't work so well for. Now he uses a FullThrottle junction valve and an R1 master....
